Hello CC world!
I am currently a freshman and am having some trouble deciding what I want to major/minor in.
I know for sure that I want to major in environmental science, but I also want to study political science and/or business in some capacity. I don’t want to have to stay in college longer than 4 years (my scholarship only lasts 4 years) so I’m limited in terms of what I can do. Basically, in addition to an environmental science major, I could either double minor in business and political science, minor solely in one or the other, or go for a dual degree (essentially the same as double majoring but I would get two bachelor’s degrees, one in environmental science and one in political science) in environmental science and political science. Unfortunately, due to the number of hours required, double majoring in business and environmental science isn’t an option for me at this point.
To complicate things, I’m not 100% sure yet what I want to do with environmental science (but I know that I’m passionate about it and want to do something involving the environment) and want to take whatever path would keep the most doors open. I’ve also heard that minors don’t really mean a whole lot, but would love to hear opinions on this.
I know this is a lot, but I’m really lost right now and would appreciate any and all advice.
Thank you so much!
