choosing a major at NYU

i'm applying ED to NYU and i plan on majoring in English Literature and minoring in Creative Writing. Will this help or hurt my chances? Are these popular majors and minors at NYU?

Additionally, I've heard from many people that Steinhardt is easiest to get into out of the NYU colleges. Is there a site I can go on that proves this? The NYU site just says that 25% of CAS students are accepted and 24% of Steinhardt students are accepted.

Also, what do you guys think about the new NYU testing requirements? Will it help or hurt applicants?

Thank you!

oh, one more thing! i'm new to this site and i keep seeing people posting the word, "bump." what does this mean?!

Bump just brings the thread up to the beginning, so more people respond since it is one of the first threads they see.

Also, I am also planning to apply to NYU ED, and I called a few days ago to ask which college has the highest acceptance rate, and all the lady said was “CAS has the most space…” so just take that as you will.

I also plan on applying ED to NYU lol. I know Stern/Tisch are the most competitive and with CAS being the college with the largest enrollment it would seem that it would have the highest acceptance rate. Although when I visited NYU I was told the Robert School of Sports Management (or whatever its called) is least competitive. But than again no major under that school draws large crowds so they dont have many applicants to take.
