I am applying to several selective schools as an engineer, however the SAT II test scores I sent are in US and World History. Do you think this hurts my chances? Should I choose "undecided"

let me explain further. Would it hurt my chances to apply as an engineer if those are the tests I’ve sent? Should I apply as “undecided” or “history” and change majors if I make it?

Check each college’s admissions website for its specific SAT Subject Tests. For example, Columbia U. requires a math and a science for the engineering school. If you can’t find the information on the website, contact admissions for clarification. As for changing major or transferring within the schools in a university, it is possible but you might have to play catch up going from Arts and Science to Engineering.

On changing majors:

Lastly, more questions, contact admissions…

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Thanks! One final question because i can’t seem to find it for Yale. Does their engineering school require any certain SAT 2 subjects?

Yale’s undergraduate school is Yale College and offers engineering majors. List of Yale majors:
<a href=“Majors in Yale College < Yale University”>http://catalog.yale.edu/ycps/majors-in-yale-college/

Yale did not specify SAT Subject Tests, but if you are applying as a major in engineering, math, or science, my opinion is that math or science Subject Test should be one of them.
