I am a female high school senior applying as a freshman.
I have heard some schools have higher acceptance rates for students with certain intended majors.
Could selecting a particular intended major on the application have any influence on my acceptance/ rejection at Miami?
I will probably go for Math or Biology
but then again maybe just undecided.

They told me this at an info session: Miami doesn’t have major quotas. If you get into the school, you get into your declared major. Applying to certain majors does not affect your chances of getting in.

That is right. My son got into the school of Engineering as an undeclared major and now wants to transfer to the school of Arts and Science for Computer Science. You just have to get accepted to one of the schools but you do not need to declare your major. You can always change schools after as long as you have the classes required for that major, otherwise you will need to get some extra classes.
