Choosing a major

Choosing a major

Hello, I am in a quite different situation than rest of the college applicants. First, I go to military school. We have a standard schedule that we must follow. I do have variety of extra-curriculums and leadership position. However, most are just specialized for military (ex. drill team, raiders, honor guard, etc). Secondly, the classes here are not the best. It is basically schools for maturity.

Regardless of surroundings, I have high GPA, SAT, and lots of leadership position in Extra-curriculms. This is where my question comes in.
I am thinking about majoring in Economy or business field major. However, I do have some interest in science. So, since my extra-curriculums and military school background is irrelevant to neither of the field wouldn’t I have same chance of getting admitted to the school? Let’s assume College A has best econ program in the nation, and college B has best science program. Wouldn’t I have a same chance of getting into A college’s econ program and Science program in College B?
