Hello everyone, i will be leaving to Europe in January to major in Mechanical Engineering and would like to earn my Bachelor’s in Business Administration on the side. I have been looking at a few online schools, like Phoenix and AIU-Online. I would really like to earn a degree from a respected and accredited Online University. I am having some trouble choosing which Online University I would like to attend, so if anyone can please post what Online Universities are well respected and not looked down on. Thank you.
A University which is a real live brick and mortar University which offers a handful of online degree options is the best way to go.
To quote a former tax manager, and recruiter for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, “We don’t ever hire anybody who did their bachelor’s at University of Phoenix”
Ok, thank you very much. So, basicaly Phoenix isnt such a great idea. Also i heard in another thread on these forums that when u recieve your online degree at some online Universities, it does not mention anything about taking it online and is recognized as if i would have went to a traditional college. Is this true? Im also very new to online studies and dont know many schools. Is there a website that shows these “brick and mortar” schools? Are these “brick and mortar” schools 100% online? Dont forget im going to be a few thousand miles away while doing this. Thanks again for your help, already changed a lot on my decision =-).

Yeah, here is the thing. You have to pick a normal state school or private school which has a few online degree options.
Look up something like “Universities in such and such a state” on Google.
Or, better yet, look up the higher education commission of a state which has some schools you think are neat-o. Sometimes the higher education commission might be called the (insert name of state here) board of regents. Then, you can click around and see for yourself which schools offer online degree options.
The easiest possible way to know if the school is legit is if it has a basketball and football team.
Please do not go to the “University of Phoenix” or any school like that. I mean, it would be easier to just do the online degree option at a Community College in your home state than go to a make believe “school.” Know what I mean?

Yea i totaly understand. I went around all these online schools and applied for more information, Phoenix, Westwood, AIU, Devry, ect…all the ones that basicaly have the pop-up advertisment on TV and while surfing the web. I have made the choice now to NOT attend any of those or ones alike. I will do some more research now with the tips you gave me. Thank you.

P.S. should i post links of schools that seem good, maybe get your feedback on what you think of the school?
