I will be applying to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. I am finding it difficult to rank my colleges. I have narrowed it down to Trinity College and Victoria College. Which one do you think is better? I would really like some inputs on this . Thanks!
@vinvsv97 Do you have any problems writing essays? Do you know what the application requirements are for each college? Trinity for sure (and I think Victoria) requires you to submit additional information that is somewhat time-consuming. You do not get to see the questions until after you submit the general application. . If I were you, I would look at what academic programs each hosts and also what the social scene is. After that, look at the pictures of the rooms, read up on the differences on their website and here on CC and then decide.
bump…help please!
The colleges are more residential than academic. Honestly, my ranking was based mostly on the proximity of each college to my chosen department’s academic buildings. Besides that, I went by architectural prettiness.
appa is correct. The college system is largely residential. One difference, and it may be a significant factor to some applicants, is that Vic has always had more scholarship money to award. Both are selective colleges.
My DS was in Vic and had a great experience. It was really nice housing and a great social life. Look into the Vic One program. One thing to consider in applying is that Trinity is much smaller and if you don’t get in, who knows what you get bumped to.
@spikemom Thank you for your views. I already applied to Vic but I cant apply to Vic one since I chose CS as my major.
