“We have quite a few students and alums from these two schools on CC. Read their posts, not just on this thread. Go back as many years as you want. Focus on their attitude and thought process. Now, which group do you want to join, and forever be identified with.”

Now if you want to discuss football…

Alexandre, these are two separate issues. For medical school, minimizing debt should be the most important consideration. However, if one intends to major in engineering and leave all possible doors open (Engineering, Investment Banking, Consulting, Technology, and Proprietary Trading), then Princeton is worth the added expense over Michigan. It doesn’t matter if you go to Wabash State or Berkeley if you are premed; all that matters is proximity to clinical research opportunities and doing well in school as well as the MCAT.

If the OP was interested in business or engineering, I think even $50K extra is justifiable for Michigan over OSU. But this is medical school placement we’re talking about and this is not any state school’s strong point to be honest…

well, Michigan board has a great mod - Alex, whom I have great respect! With that said, if I wanted to be more involved at the Ohio State board, I could have easily done so given time which I simply do not have. In fact, I don’t even respond to some of the threads I created at the Ohio State board… FWIW, as someone who had successfully served in various capacity in terms of forum moderators in the past, generating web traffic / post was never an issue under my watch. :p

In terms of football, indeed, as New York Times pointed out that Ohio State does have most fans across the country.

[Ohio State Buckeyes estimated to have the most fans of any college football team in the country, study finds | cleveland.com](Ohio State Buckeyes estimated to have the most fans of any college football team in the country, study finds - cleveland.com)

Go Bucks!! :)

P.S. Well, with tOSU making strides for academic excellence in the near future, we will continue to see an increase of Ohio State vs (Top School) thread. In fact, just last week alone, I saw prospective students inquired about UVA, Berkeley, Emory as well as Michigan vs Ohio State here on CC.
