Hello!
I have had the fortune, and the misfortune, of being accepted to 7 schools. I am indecisive at best and am having trouble narrowing down my choices. It seems once I eliminate a school, I find a reason to bring it back.
So here they are:
UConn Honors - My least interested choice
Gettysburg College w/ 15k Merit
Bucknell University w/ 10k Merit
UHP@GWU w/ 10k Merit (trying to gather more money if possible)
Whitman College - no Merit
Bates College
College of William and Mary

I have been left with some great choices for school next year but am at a total standstill. For what it is worth, I am seeking an academically intellectual experience as well as friendships with professors. I do not intend to partake in Greek life, but as long as it doesn't dominate the social scene I am indifferent. For what it is worth, I want to double major (if plausible) in Biochemistry and something more of the liberal arts brand. I afterward plan on attending Law School. Finally, I want to not have to feel like partying on the weekends is the option - that the college / surrounding area has options available other than studying for free time.

Any insight on these schools will be most valuable - thanks!

You are very fortunate to have so many good choices. William & Mary seems to stand out of the group, esp when describing whats important to you. Besides, having 60 degree days in Jan is an added bonus that the others cannot offer :)

Thanks for the insight
That was one school I was thinking of eliminating off of my list, but I will have to put in further research
And 60 degrees sounds lovely! haha

Can you afford all those schools?

I really like the Whitman campus and the students. I have not had any experience with professors. It is a very friendly and intelligent environment. However, it is in Walla Walla which is at least a couple of hours from a real airport/city. It is socially and politically liberal. Reed is its’ sister school in Portland. I don’t have any first hand experience with the other schools. We are at Whitman yearly for a sizeable debate tournament.

in reply to Erin’s dad, I am fortunate enough to be in a position to afford all of these schools.

So far, I have narrowed it down to Bates, Whitman, and WM.
I just visited WM, am headed to Whitman, and will shortly after be revisiting Bates.
I felt positive about WM when I visited but also felt like it missed something… I just couldn’t pin it down.
