I know these schools are both very different but I am sort of stuck between them. I was accepted as a January Admit for Hamilton College where I would spend my first semester in London and then study on campus. Then, I was accepted to NYU, not CAS, but the Liberal Studies program...They are both sort of weird situations and different schools but does anyone have any opinions program wise or based on the quality of education?

I like the idea of Hamilton for a “real” college ambiance. It is rural and small, but the quintessential collegiate environment.
NYU is quite the opposite; Both great academic reputations.
It really comes down to what you’re looking for in your college life.

Are they giving you any financial aid? NYU is very expensive to start with, and incidental expenses in NYC can be very high.

NYU is awful with financial aid.

im not as concerned with financial aid as I am with what feels right…I like cities but I just dont know if an urban setting is a place where I want to pursue an education…on one hand, a quaint campus with a tight knit student body and intimate classes seems amazing and on another hand a hustle and bustle cultural metropolitan full of resources sound great…ahh!

NYU knows it does not need to give fin aid as its draw is its location; it is the definition of a “destination school”. (George Washington U, Boston U, Northeastern, U Miami, etc. are other schools that immediately come to mind as their reputations have skyrocketed as “going away” for college has become increasingly the norm). Keep that in mind when selectiong schools.

Go Hamilton!!!
