I know plenty of people have been stuck with the difficult decision of deciding between UC's. In particular, I'm interested in what you guys think about UC Berkeley vs UCLA as undergraduate science schools (my major is molecular biology).
I'm actually quite desperate, so any feedback is welcome. :)

At the UNDERGRAD level, Berkeley & UCLA are pretty similar academically... but the campuses have a very different feel/culture...
visit both and go with the best personal fit...

I agree. Go with your best personal fit.

i had a friend who went to UCB as molecular biology major
overall, she was kinda disappounted with the grades she got there -- academics were really tough, classes were big, and she did not like the cramped expensive housing -- she graduated in 3.5 years, worked at a dental office, applied for 5 dental shools, got into UCLA and UCSF and was happy .. that is, until she entered the dental school ...

i don't know anyone who did molbio at ucla

UCB is on the same level as UCLA -- ok, so UCB migt look on your resume better cuz it's like Berkeley -- some people who graduate from Berkeley think it is the PLace to be -- but if you do well in either, you'll do well afterwards ... i think choosing a smaller schools is better in that you get more personal attention, classes are smaller, fewer classes are taught by TA's and more by real professors, and generally you'd see more of same people in classes which makes it easier to connect and make friends ...

sometime ago I talked to another person who chose UCLA over UCB for PhD program in chemistry because UCB's academics are so hard and they dropped nearly half the people out from that chemistry program (because their GPA was low since classes were tough, and because they did not do great research 1st year since class load was high) ... which is unheard of
