I am a senior and am deciding between going to UIUC or the Ohio State University. I am an Illinois resident and so UIUC is slightly cheaper. I originally wanted to get out of the state, and would like to live near a city (Columbus appeals for this), but I am favoring strength of program and cost over this personal preference. I got admitted into the honors program at OSU. My major at OSU is neuroscience and my major at UIUC is psychology and I could concentrate in neuroscience. I am trying to decide which school’s program would set me up better for graduate school. I also am thinking of doing the pre-med program at both schools. Any advice/knowledge on pre-med/neuroscience at either school?
Both of these places can set you up for grad school or med school. Don’t worry about that. You can safely choose the cheapest (saving money for med school), or the one you like better.
