Choosing between UMass Amherst (CS) and UCSD (Bio/Bioinformatics)? HELP

I was rejected from all of my target and reach schools with a 4.02 GPA and 2250 SAT with 800 in Math II and 740 in Bio. I only got into 2 out of the 15 schools I applied to, but it is what it is. (I applied to Brown, Cornell, Harvard, Stanford, Tufts, UChicago, USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, WashU, MIT, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, and UMass Amherst.)

I got into the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst and since I'm an in-state student, the tuition will be pretty cheap. The CS program there is selective, and the major itself is a pretty good guarantee of a job. But I would've LOVED to go to California for school. My top choice was Stanford or UC Berkeley..(realistically speaking, it was UCLA) but I was only admitted to UC San Diego as a Biology major with a specialization in Bioinformatics. The CS major was impacted and I was admitted with my second choice. I suppose I kind of like biology, but I don't know what I can do with a bio degree once I get out of college. My mom's been telling me how a ton of her friends who are bio researches can't find a job right now.

So the final question comes down to, what are the pros and cons of each option? At first, I was bent on not going to UMass Amherst because I didn't want to associate myself with that name, I thought I would definitely get in somewhere better...I guess I thought a little too highly of myself >.<

Looks like you prefer CS. Better to go to UMass where you can do your major, rather than pay more for UCSD where you have no assurance of getting into your major, or being stuck doing a major that you are not that interested in. UMass actually has a good reputation in computer science and engineering.
