So what colleges did you guys reject to come to Brandeis?

Well, I applied early decision so I suppose I turned down all of them. :P But before I got the results for ED, I applied to Tulane and NYU and got into both before I could rescind my application.

I turned down Colgate and UMass Amherst honors college.

I turned down Colgate (almost full ride), Trinity (honors program and full ride), URochester, and Stony Brook...all for Brandeis and a 50k loan.

Colgate, Carnegie Mellon, Lafayette, Skidmore, URochester, Bucknell, UConn, Ithaca

I was ED, but due to the fact that I applied EA and that there was confusion with the withdrawl of my app. I found out, I would have gotten into Georgetown. I still would have chose Brandeis however if that choice was mine to make.

I have a lot of friends who turned down some great schools for Brandeis. Two of my friends turned down Amherst, two Penn, one Harvard, one Princeton, one Dartmourth, and a friend of a friend turned down MIT, and another friend of a friend Yale. Those are just the ones I know, there must be plenty more.

I am a junior at Brandeis, btw.

I applied ED. If I didn't get in, I would have applied to Cornell and SUNY Binghamton (I'm from NY...)

"Amherst, two Penn, one Harvard, one Princeton, one Dartmourth, and a friend of a friend turned down MIT, and another friend of a friend Yale."

That is certainly not the norm......

They prob got substantial merit aid from Brandeis.
