i know that we choose classes during orientation, but how would i go about doing this at home? i am a pre-business major and i passed my AP English 3 test and hopefully passed my calculus BC test this year. what classes should i take?

Suggested schedule for freshman and sophomore years: [UCR CHASS Student Academic Affairs](http://chassstudentaffairs.ucr.edu/academic/prebus_06.html)

Of course, it all depends on what’s open during your time of enrollment. This is just to keep you on track and get you out of the CHASS-required courses like English and Foreign Language as soon as possible. During orientation, your academic adviser is able to sit down with you and help you pick out courses. Hope this helps!

is there links like this for electrical engineer student? If so that would be great!

you can look up the classes and times at [UC Riverside - Schedule of Classes](http://www.classes.ucr.edu) after looking up which breadth requirements you need

tehlunatic: http://student.engr.ucr.edu/ELEN.html

i believe this is the requirements for electrical engineering

tehlunatic: The second link ucrucla posted lists the EE major requirements. It can also be found here: [UC Riverside - General Catalog](<a href=“The Office of the Registrar | UC Riverside”>http://catalog.ucr.edu/)

This is the suggested 2008 four-year course plan for an Electrical Engineering student:

Here are the breadth requirements:
[Bourns College of Engineering: Breadth Requirements](http://student.engr.ucr.edu/breadth.html)

It looks like they update them every year, but this is the latest one up on the website. Hope it helps!

thanks its was really helpful

Do you have to sign up for classes at orientation? Can I sign up for them myself at home?

Can anyone find for me the suggested course for Environmental sciences?
I’m not sure how to find what classes i need to take

Yeah can anyone help me with Political Science?

xAbre1200 –
I’m not sure. I don’t think there is a way for you to register at home even though you are able to login to GROWL. Usually you register though the “Advising/Enrollment” link on the left side of the page, but I think your academic adviser opens it up for enrollment during orientation.

I can’t locate an actual suggested course plan that lays out all your major and breadth classes. If I do end up finding it, I’ll edit it into the post.

Required classes for Environmental Science depends on what option (Environmental Toxicology, Natural Science, or Social Science) you’re taking: http://www.catalog.ucr.edu/catalog2008/EnvironmentalSciences.pdf (PDF file)

I also can’t locate a suggested course plan that lays out when to take classes. Majors in CHASS don’t have heavy unit requirements; most of the time it is 16 lower-division units and 36-40 upper division units. So you more or less get to decide. You can visit your academic adviser to make a plan.

Thanks you :]

xAbre1200: yes you can sign up at home. if you don’t go to orientation then you’ll have to sign up after everyone has gone to orientation. I think you’ll sign up around august or early september.
