Choosing college based on how much aid received...

Ok, so I'm applying to 3 schools.

Rutgers
Baruch
Northeastern

Merit based, the first two I believe I'm going to receive most. For Northeastern, if anything, I'll get need based. How does this go?

By February I know if I'm accepted and then if I do FAFSA in January, when will I know how much aid I'll get? Do I know that info before deciding whether to go to the school or not?

Yes, in most cases you receive an admissions/aid offer in March. You have to make your admissions decision by April 1

Ohh...admissions and aid offer is together?

"Yes, in most cases you receive an admissions/aid offer in March. You have to make your admissions decision by April 1"

I thought you had until May 1????

Yip, May 1st.

Some schools send acceptances first and then will send out scholarship offers later. In some cases departmental scholarships, etc may trickle in closer to the deadline.
