I was wondering, if you choose two majors on the supplement drop-down menu, do you have to talk about both of those majors in the essay, or just one? And vice-versa, if I mention two majors, do I have to talk about them both in the essay?

Your choice. You can talk about one or both. There is no set guidelines requiring you to discuss both majors you list on the JHU Supplement.

Thanks, that clarifies things a lot. So if I feel that discussing a second major on my essay would make it too lengthy, it would most likely be recommended that I only talk about one? And without any drawbacks?

Sorry but I do not provide individual advice on how you should respond to the JHU supplement essay question. As I have stated numerous times before, answer the essay prompt how you want to answer it. We leave the question pretty vague to allow students to go in any direction they want with their answer. This is also why we do not set a specific word count. There is no right or wrong answer … answer it how you choose.
