Choosing my major?

I am currently a senior in high school and I can't decide among these majors: Electical Engineering(or any other engineering major), Computer Science, and Biology. I am interested in all three and I don't know which one to choose as my major when I apply for college. I want to go to medical school so I know biology would be good for completing the prereqs for med school but I also want to pursue my interests in engineering/CS. If put down one major ,for example Electrical Engineering on my college apps and then later decide I dont like the subject after taking some classes and want to switch my major would it be very dificult?

Depending on the school, it may be easy or difficult to switch majors, typically based on how popular the destination major is relative to its capacity at the school. Engineering and CS majors are often overcrowded, so it may be easier to switch out than to switch in. Note that if that is the case, the various majors may have different frosh admissions selectivity.

You do not need to major in biology to take pre-med courses, although it may be hard to fit them around an engineering major other than chemical or biomedical engineering. The large number of required courses for an engineering major means less opportunity to cherry pick “easy A” courses for your free electives, which is a typical pre-med game.

Maybe this will help.
CE, EE and the other engineering majors are in the college of engineering.

Biology and CS is in the liberal arts or science college.

Generally speaking its easier to switch majors than it is to switch colleges. So the first question to ask is are you an engineer or not ? Engineering programs are very structured and math heavy. Liberal arts programs are balanced and include humanities and social science. I think if you look closely at those programs you should be able to get a feel for which college to pursue.

I am planning to apply to UCs and I know some of the majors are impacted especially biology so if I were to switch majors at a UC would I be able to do it despite that major being impacted?
