Choosing not to go to college after being accepted?

Hello, I will be applying to a community college in (this) April. The application deadline is August. I will also be applying for FAFSA and scholarships. I will not be taking out any loans (hopefully). Now lets say I get accepted and sometime in July I decide I don't want to go to college. Would I owe any money to that college for deciding not to go? Would I be in debt? Would that be considered "dropping out" even though the classes haven't even started? What happens if I register for the classes, can I drop them before they even start? I had heard if you get FAFSA and you get accepted to college but then decide not to go, FAFSA will take their money back from the college and then you'll owe that college money. I just don't want to owe any money/be in debt, please help.

If you decide not to attend, let the CC know. They can help you with this so that there are no money problems.

FAFSA is a form from which colleges derive information in order to determine your need & eligibility for FinAid. You don’t “apply for FAFSA” Please make an appt with the Fin Aid office at your cmty college.
