<p>IMO, when looking for a roommate clean & considerate >> similar interests, because fun to hang out with does not necessarily equate to fun to live with. After all, you can go visit your friends whenever you want. I’ve seen plenty of “friendships” turn sour after rooming together. The fun eventually dies down but the dirty dishes in the sink somehow never get cleaned… #ImACynic</p>
<p>UT has a “Profiler” feature specifically for finding roommates. It allows you to enter in some basic info (neatness level, time you sleep/wake, music you like, etc) which creates a profile for you. You can find other profiles with similar matches and contact them. You can access it with your EID; Google UT Austin roommate profiler and you should find it.</p>
