choosing safety colleges

kalamazoo
hobart & william smith
sewanee university of the south
beloit
college of wooster
centre

can you guys choose four colleges in the choices of
Importance in order.
1. good academics and caring professors
2. social life (local atmosphere)
3. weather and outdoor activities

it would be better if you have them ranked plz

bump bump help me out plz

You can read about all except Sewanee in the Colleges that Change Lives book.

I think Sewanee would be your best bet, arguably the strongest academically on the list and lots of outdoor activities

@calla1 I already read the book. But there is definitely a difference between words from a person who is trying to praise colleges and a person who actually experienced the college as a student. Thank you

@timetodecide12 Thank you very much!

Also hobart and william smith college is not on the book.

No personal experience, but those I know who go to Wooster love it, esp for #1.

Folks…for a school to be a SAFETY, it has to be AFFORDABLE. How would a school be a safety (fall back school) if it’s the student’s only acceptance but its NOT affordable!!!

*
…i need significant amount of financial aid…*

NONE of these schools are safeties because NONE will surely accept this student and SURELY give him all the FA he needs.

The part you quoted is not in the OP… and not all of us have time to extensively cross reference basic posts nor are we clairvoyant so it’s kind of annoying to be scolded or preached at as if we don’t know what we’re doing to be honest. I suspect ALL of us were going off the info presented IN THIS THREAD which said nothing about costs or needing aid.

However, Wooster is also fairly well known for aid, so it’d still be worth a shot. Without aid being guaranteed, I agree it shouldn’t be listed as a safety IF that is a need.

I didn’t expect you to know what the OP quoted in another thread. However, since a safety has to be affordable, no one had even brought up the issue that none of those schools may be safeties unless the OP’s family would pay all costs.
