Choosing Teacher for Letter of Recommendation

Hello! I would love some advice on who to choose to write my letter of rec for college! I am interested in pursuing a career in the science field working with animals/conservation if that information helps.

My options are:

  1. My AP Environmental Science Teacher from junior year. He definitely doesn't have a bad impression of me! However, I wouldn't be classified as his best student either. I received straight A's throughout his class and he once agreed to offer extra credit for a movie night I was hosting for my club because it was relevant to what we were learning in class at the time. My only concern is that I was not a huge participator and I don't know him on a personal level. He knows who I am, but nothing beyond the classroom. Also, I have no idea if he can write a good letter of rec. I don't know many students who get letters of rec from him because he teaches such an "obscure" class, so I have nobody to ask. However, in the past I know he was accepted into Stanford (but he said it was mainly because of his interview).
  2. My AP United States History Teacher from junior year. He is known for writing great letters of rec at my school. He's a fantastic teacher and tries to get to know each individual student in all of his classes. My only problem is that I have barely talked to him and while he can still write a good letter of rec, it probably won't be anything super special because we do not know each other well. However, he did love my final presentation for the class and spoke very highly of my execution of the project.
  3. My ROP Animal Health Care Teacher from the summer after my junior year. This teacher definitely has the highest impression of me and even chose me as the recipient of the outstanding student award out of a class of 29 students. She thinks extremely highly of me and believes I will accomplish great things in the future. In her class I got 100%, participated the most, and was an overall great student. The only problem is that I am not confident in her writing skills. She is infamous for her spelling errors almost to the point where I seriously believe that she may be dyslexic. Is it possible to ask if I can proofread her letter of rec?

Thanks for reading all the way through! I know I rambled for quite a bit about each teacher. I would love it if you could rank the teachers in regards to who should write my letter of rec. Thank you!

No you can’t offer to proof her letters. Are you kidding? Do you think the colleges care about the spelling in a letter of recommendation?

Oh, do they not care? I must have been mistaken. It’s a great relief to hear that it doesn’t matter! My only other concern is that she won’t write a letter of rec that’s long enough, but that can probably be easily fixed if I just make it clear to her. Thank you!

What about when choosing between the other two teachers?
