Choosing to Submit SAT or ACT

On one SAT exam, I have a 710 for Critical Reading, 730 for Writing, 760 for math, on the other, I received 770 for Critical Reading, 670 for Writing, 660 for math.

My highest score for the ACT w/ writing is a 33.

I'm considering that the lower scores on my second SAT score may look bad to the adcoms. If this doesn't matter and they look at only the highest scores, the points would add up to a 2260. If it does and I only submit the first test score, it'd be a 2200.

Is a 2260 worth more than a 33?
Is a 2200 worth more than a 33?

Which scores do you think I should submit? What would look better?
Just the SAT scores, just the first SAT score where I got all my scores up in the 700s, just the ACT score, or both (if possible)?

see if the schools where you apply “superscore” the sat and send all results to those schools. send only the best single-sitting test date to those who don’t. also, you may qualify for an academic scholarship from one test and not the other or vice versa, so you may want to sent both act and sat. (my son received a 4 year, full-tuition scholarship by doing this.)

The conversion charts vary a little bit, but based on looking at a few of them, it looks like a 2260 is like a 34 on the ACT, and a 2200 is about a 33. So if the school superscores the SAT, I’d use the SAT. Otherwise, it’s up to you.

Also, schools on the west and east coast generally prefer the SAT, but anywhere else, like the midwest/central America, the ACT is used more often.
