I need some help. I cant really decide between the two. I know that looking at the options it seems obvious that UCSB should be my choice (overall UC's are better than CSU) but I have some other factors that come into play.

I am a transfer. I got into UCSB as an Econ major and I got into SDSU as a BusAdmin (Finance) major.

Basically:
1. SDSU is cheaper (money isnt a real big issue, it would just be nice to save)
2. SDSU business program is very good compared to many others.
3. I have some friends at SDSU.

I hear UCSB is a very fun school, and I expect to do my fair share of partying and like I mentioned earlier UC's are generally better than CSU. I know that either one will be a good choice. Just seeing if anyone has any insight.

Well… I think it depends on you. We can’t make such a big decision for you. What is it that you want? Regardless of the cost, pick the school that you want to go to. You don’t want to reflect back on your life 20 years from now and regret going to the other school. JS.

I have the same problem. i dont know which one to go.

SB - party and also get out of school with a diploma that is widely respected over the state/country

SDSU - party but get out with a diploma from a 4th tier school (no one will really care)

if you want to be a grad student, pick SB

if you want to party all day err day and have slightly better weather, pick SDSU

As a student on the central coast and a rival school to SB (We had over 5,000 shirts sold last year that said “Buck the Gauchos”. It was great.), I would definitely say SB. It has a great economics/business program and is probably better known for that than almost anything else. Also, it’s freaking NUTS. SDSU has a party scene, yes, but until you’ve been to Halloween in SB, you don’t know the word party. At SB, you can have lots of fun, make friends, and still get an excellent degree.
