Choosing US schools, advice needed

@MYOS1634 Yes, Emory, Rice and WashU would definitely be known among employers. I will only apply to Emory, though, because I don’t think it makes much sense to apply to three of them, provided these schools are all extremely selective and high reaches.

BTW, I think I managed to correct my list (finally!). Among other things, I eliminated W&M and NCS Raleigh, and added a few schools you suggested. Thank you so much for your advice! It’s been truly invaluable.

Hi MoscowGirl, this may be of interest to you:

No, I don’t think very highly of the economics department at Bryn Mawr.

I have no opinion on Indiana vs NCSU for Wall Street jobs.

@MYOS1634 Thank you for bothering to remind me of the deadline! However, I researched BHP and LAHP (I chose Economics as a first choice major BTW) and realized I would not manage to submit all the required stuff on time :frowning: But I guess in my case it’s more important to practice for the upcoming SAT.

That was just an opportunity for you at UT Austin since you seem to like it. Look into their Honors programs regardless.

Good luck for the SAT!

Thank you! I really need it.

I still can’t believe it, but I just got my acceptance letter. I am in Duke!

Congratulations!!!

Haha thank you! Yeah, can’t believe how lucky I am  August just can’t come soon enough

It will be a fabulous experience, MoscowGirl! Don’t forget to check in with us to tell us how you like it, what surprised you, what irritates you  And yes, major congratulations.

katliamom, thanks! I will surely post something about Duke if I’m not overwhelmed by the curriculum :D

So, my dec SAT results came in today: 2260 (CR770, M770, W720). I’m so glad! Guess I’m going to send them to Duke now.
