Choosing which scores to self-report!

My AP exam scores were released today. I was incredibly excited to get a 5 on Language & Composition (very surprised), a 4 on Chemistry, and a 4 on US History. I also have an 800 US History SAT II & a 780 Chemistry SAT II. I am confused on whether I should report the SAT IIs and the AP scores or just the SAT IIs. (I took the June SAT IIs also to get a math score; I’m waiting on Math 2, Math 1, and World History.)

I also am unsure of whether to send my 1470 new SAT (720 read/750 math) or my 34 ACT (35 math/34 rest/21 writing). I’d like to report and send only one as my family is limited financially.

Which scores should I self-report and eventually send?

According to the College Board concordance tables, the 34 ACT is better than the 1470 SAT. Both are great, however. I would definitely self-report all AP scores.

Usually if a college requires or recommends SAT IIs, they also accept the ACT in lieu of them, so officially sending the ACT score alone should be sufficient if you want to save the cost of sending both to every school. There are some schools that will recommend SAT IIs regardless of whether you submit ACT or SAT, but if it’s “recommended” you can self-report. Be sure to read each school’s requirements carefully, but I think for most schools you will be well-served by submitting your ACT officially, and self-reporting APs and SAT IIs.

Thank you very much! Some schools that I plan on applying to do require the SAT IIs (fortunately, only four of them do & I get four free sends from the fee waiver!). Would it aid me at all to send my SAT IIs to my mid-tier schools and state school, URI?

Given the strong test scores you have shared, I do not think that paying to send SAT IIs (when they are not required for admission or scholarship/merit consideration) is going to be necessary for an admissions decision. If you have the waiver, sure, send all your SAT scores. But if not (I think you are smart to make use of your waivers for those schools where the SAT IIs are required or recommended), just self-report in the testing section of the Common App.

Thanks for all your help
