Choosing..

Please Help!.. I am new around these boards, I'm a junior who is starting to figure out where I want to go to school.. I live in Alberta, Canada and any help in thinking of reaches/matches/safety schools would be greatly appreciated!

CRITERIA: Lots of school spirit, fairly accessible professors, classes that would challenge but not destroy me! haha, a "traditional" style campus, a great and interesting city within a couple hours' drive or train ride of campus

POSSIBLE MAJORS: journalism, psychology (still undecided but those are a couple options)

LOCATION: California, New England, New York, East Coast and the South in general

MY STATS: GPA (unweighted.. I don't know how to calculate weighted, but I am in only the most challenging honors and IB courses that my high school offers) 87/100

SAT (projected.. writing on the 24th. I'll write it again if I don't get these scores) CR - 760, M - 630, W - 750 Total - 2140

ECs: JV volleyball freshman & sophomore years
Varsity volleyball junior year (and senior year also)
Club volleyball from freshman to senior years (4th at provinicals, I don't know if that matters, we'll be going to nationals this year)
Club lacrosse freshman & sophomore years
IB Council (we advise the IB people in Switzerland or wherever on how to improve their curriculum.. hand picked by teachers)
GYLC Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC and New York this summer
100+ hospital volunteer hours

Thank you soo much in advance! This is highly appreciated.. where I live, the guidance counselors really only help people who want to go the community college. It's really difficult for people (like me) who have higher ambitions than that to get a lot of, if any, information, especially from people who know what they are talking about (like you guys!)
:)

nobody has any idea? come on.. :)

Reach: Columbia University, University Of Southern California
Match: The University Of Texas At Austin

Why are you interested in US schools? Why do you think they are worth the huge financial premium you will pay?

bump? please :)

Maybe Michigan and Wisconsin.
