D is a rising junior who would be OOS at Pitt. Pitt has several of the majors she is considering as well as promising merit scholarships (engineering, statistics, pharmacy, nursing). She is in an excellent high school chorus program and enjoys this very much even though she does not plan a music major. Are there opportunities for her to participate at Pitt in choral groups? We hope to visit sometime over the next school year.

There are all types of choral and musical groups, and none (as far as I know) are restricted to music majors.

The most famous one is the [Heinz Chapel Choir](Heinz Chapel Choir) which travels internationally.

There is also the [Women’s Choral Ensemble/url, and less formal groups like the [url=The Pitt Pendulums]Pitt Pendulums](Treble Choral Ensemble | Department of Music | University of Pittsburgh), the [Sounds of Pleasure](Sounds of Pleasure), [VoKols]( https://www.facebook.com/pages/VoKols/196746367106163 ), and probably others.

Thank you, wgmcp, really appreciate it.
