Here are some other schools in the midwest:

Hope College- Holland, MI- Reformed Church of America
Calvin College- Grand Rapids, MI- Christian Reformed Church

Of the two, Calvin probably maintains the most consistent emphasis on the Christian life, especially across the faculty. Hope College has been known for its vibrant chapel program. Student attendance is not required, yet the chapel is nearly always packed. I’m not intimately familiar, however, with the music program at either school.

Another possibility in Michigan is Spring Arbor University. This is a good school to consider if your daughter is looking for a strong ministry emphasis. Spring Arbor is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church.

As far as finding a good fit, you & your daughter will need to figure out the balance of priorities amongst academic &/or musical selectivity (Wheaton College, IL is probably the most selective of all the Christian schools), desire for a ministry/biblical studies focus, and oboe faculty & ensembles.
