If I were to guess, the asterisks stand in for letters that would be a slang word for a woman’s chest.
“****” = “ITTI”, perhaps?
Haha, ok. It rhymes with Kitties…but with a T instead of a K
And you’d be right
Thanks! I’m still missing the Christmas connection, but I suspect there was a bit of an inside joke going on there.
I bought 2 new deer last year from Home Depot. H had been fixing our “deer herd” for many years and last year he said no more. My answer to that was to get 2 brand new ones! I love looking at them each night along with the wreaths and lights we have up when we return from our walk.
I look forward to more outdoor decorations next Christmas. We’ll be in our new - and hopefully last - home. H recently declared that he doesn’t want me to buy anything for indoors except Christmas canvas “art” prints and nothing for outside. He’s concerned about storage. This from a man who just filled two storage units with his garage/workshop stuff. Humbug!
With an eye toward storage needs, I’ve eyed some outdoor holiday decorations that fold flat. Still have not bought any yet because there is a hope that maybe we’ll get back in the tradition of hanging lights on the roofline.
Yes for decorations that can fold flat!
Last night, we drove around looking at Christmas lights in a nearby neighborhood that goes all out. There was one house where the front lawn (which was quite large) was covered with blow up decorations. Like they were all lined up shoulder by shoulder, with little to no space between them. It was a windy night so all the figures were swaying back and forth in unison. It was actually a bit creepy.
Unfortunately, someone at the end of our street fell off their ladder while they were putting up Christmas lights the other day. He was seriously injured, but he is going to be OK. It could’ve been much worse. Luckily, a delivery man was driving by and saw him fall and he was able to pull over and call 911. The man’s wife was out at the time, so he was alone. I’ve always told H and my kids and relatives, not to go on a ladder when you’re alone! I had a coworker whose husband fell off the roof, a couple of years ago, when putting up lights and if he hadn’t fallen into the bushes, he wouldn’t be here today. Be careful!
One of my swimmer’s Dad fell while putting up decorations for a non-profit. He did not make it. It was terrible. So yes, be careful!
I know someone who similarly lost their spouse to a ladder accident. I’m so glad that our new lights setup does not require going up on the roof or climbing ladders.
We put a Christmas wreath out front and the tree (when lit) is visible through the front window.
