Hi there
So, for those of you who don't live in California, there is a test known as the California High School Proficiency Exam, or the CHSPE for short. It is very similar to the GED. However, the CHSPE can be taken when the student is either A) A sophomore in high school or B) Sixteen years of age. The CHSPE, if passes, grants said student the equivalency of a high school diploma. However, it does not grant the student full credits in order to apply for college, and those must be achieved through community college or other means. However, the CHSPE is only valid for California universities.
In short, I am currently sixteen year old sophomore student who is interested in getting out of high school as early as possible, and getting into the college environment as early as possible. I already have a basic plan hammered out in my head. However, there is one problem; GPA.

In Freshman year, I got a decent enough GPA, a 3.5 for both marking periods. Of course, when applying for college, Freshman year is barely accounted for. For my first semester of Sophomore year, I attained a 3.1 GPA, which is. Eh, decent enough. High school had always been. A less than enjoyable thing for me. So I decided to switch to online school with California Virtual Academy (CAVA) for my second semester of Sophomore year. This is where things go bad.

Currently, I have less than one month of school left. I am failing three classes (one of which is PE. Yeah. I'm FAILING PE. But that is honestly the least of my worries)
For reasons that don't really need to be mentioned, I am struggling to maintain Cs in English Honors, World History, and Anthropology. And I am completely bombing Spanish 2 and Algebra 2. PE too, but I really could care less...

I already have a solution for the missing credits for Spanish 2 and Algebra 2, I'm taking summer classes at an accelerated school to reclaim my credits. So that's not a worry.

What I am worried about is my GPA. And how this will look when applying for college. Granted, I'm applying to liberal arts schools and state colleges (San Francisco State, Sonoma State, etc) I'm not looking to apply to any UCs, and I'm not even glancing in the general direction of Ivy League.

I guess my question is; how would my GPA be calculated for college admission after taking the CHSPE? Since I will be claiming the remainder of my credits and community college, and a private accelerated school. I know that with a GPA Of 2.0 at SF State, the minimum SAT score you must achieve is a 1300, which I can get easily (I got a 1550 on my PSAT, which was. In short horrendous to me, but high enough to get into SF State)
Am I worrying for nothing, or did I truly screw myself over by failing THREE classes this semester? I know that retaking the classes over the summer does not alter your GPA, but simply allows to collect the credits for said classes. I would like to point out that the path I'm taking is already set, I am taking the CHSPE and I am not looking to return to high school. More than 90% of the time, when I ask for advice on this situation, I just get someone telling me to go back to high school. Which is something I am not planning on doing. Any information is helpful. Thank you C:
