CIA careers?

does anybody have any advice on a career with CIA or the intelligence community? Does anybody know anything about good internships?

I'm a Yale sophomore and I have intermediate proficiency in Arabic.

I've been interested in doing the same for quite some time now. This blog has been very informative

that's great stuff. thanks.

Join the Skull & Bones fraternity, mud wrestle naked with 5 other guys while people **** on you, then impregnate your best friend's sister.

And go to Yale.

that movie sucked.

I am interested to but have never even been out of North America...I'll be in my second year at Cornell next year (electrical and computer engineering major) and was planning to apply for the analyst internship position...

Some of that stuff kind of turns me off - it sounds like a good number of people (at least on that Vault board) had what they claim are "false" results on their polygraph tests (which resulted in the interviewer accusing them of outrageous things). From reading the stuff on the CIA site, it sounded like once you were accepted all you had was a simple little polygraph interview and background check and you were in.

Anyone have any opinions/personal experience here?

Also - if I decided I didn't want to work for the CIA post-graduation after the 2-summer internship program there as an analyst (presumably weapons & technology), how do you guys think that experience would help me post-graduation? IE, would I still have good prospects at becoming an analyst at an investment bank (CIA seems like one of the few places that could be as intense as an investment bank), going to grad school or getting a job in industry (engineering)?

Meh, for interns the polygraph is just for show anyways. CIA interns don't do anything with classified material or do any sort of investigative work...
