Cinematic Arts Application Question

When applying to 1st and 2nd choice majors within the cinematic arts college, does the applicant need to do the writing component for each of the majors? Production and critical studies both have a personal statement required, which I assume could be the same for both majors, but the second part of the writing assignment is very different for the two majors. Any successful applicants who can say whether they did writing requirements for both majors, or just for their first choice? My son doesn't want to blow his chance of getting his second choice if the first doesn't succeed, but that's a fair amount of extra work to do both! Thanks much...

You have to do them for both majors for each supplemental application to be complete -- that's why it's a good idea to get started on such important applications early! You can use the same cinema personal statement probably, but I tweaked mine a bit to differentiate between what I would do with a Production degree or what I'd do with a Crit. Stud. degree.

Thank you Makkuroi! Yep, it would have been nice to get these done way in advance, but he's had a tough time deciding whether to go for production or critical studies, so he put his time into other apps while letting that question percolate.
