I'm a Comp Info Systems major. I'll be entering my second year this fall. I was thinking about double majoring so that I'm more marketable when I'm out of school. Which majors complement Computer Information Systems and which careers would be available from me double majoring.?

I've seen on the net that plenty of people double major in Accounting and CIS to become auditors. But what other jobs could one get from majoring in Acc and CIS?

And how do you guys feel about CIS/Entrepreneurial Studies.?

The CIO of my company was an accounting major. Some jobs might be consultant, business or systems analyst, project manager, and software quality assurance.

As for entrepreneurial studies, my personal opinion is all the studies in the world aren’t going to make you an entrepreneur unless you have that spirit to start with. And if you do have that spirit, your best bet is to just go out and start your own venture.

I will advice you to not study enterprenuerial studies… It is natural for a cs major to be innovative and try new stuffs and if you’re lucky and make it, the enterprenuerial path will come you way. If not you will end up in a typical office each day doing you normal job.
If you want to double major in something else, maybe finance or acct, I really don’t think it wil hurt, but usually business schools give you enoguh knowledge in acct and finance if you are an information systems major, so you can become an auditor if like, or DB admin. Whatever it may be.
