Citing a source incorrectly

On my synthesis essay for my AP English Language Test, I accidentally cited the sources incorrectly. Instead of putting (Source A), I accidentally wrote it as (Doc A). Will it affect my score? Will I get a 0?

Yeah. The Collegeboard has enacted a policy that incorrectly citing sources on AP English exams will always result in the examinee receiving a 0 for the entire exam. This policy is applied in situations where an examinee does not precisely use the word “Source” when citing a document and instead uses an interchangeable term.

If you haven’t caught on with the sarcasm:
No, you won’t get a 0. As long as you are making clear after every citation that you are getting information from a source and identifying which source it is, you should be fine.
