<p>I sent my transcript, SAT scores, resume, and 2 letters of recommendation</p>
<p>Transcript, Letter of Recommendation, Resume, Cover Letter, and alot of prayer</p>
<p>yeah i’ll just wait till next week (tomorrow) for my rejection confirmation… since i didn’t send any of that kind of stuff in except for something that looked like an unprofessional cover letter…</p>
<p>i dont’ get it, if resume/transcript/cover letter are all not required but they probably pick the ones who sent these in anyway, then what’s the point of not requiring them? to see who thinks of sending them in and who does not? i didn’t send my transcript or resume in because i thought my transcript would be a disadvantage to me since i only have a 3.5 and well i do have 2 rec letters… i dunno i REALLY hope to get in but i NEED to be prepared for the disappointment… like 100 out of 1000</p>

<p>I think when they say that it isn’t required they mean to say that people in the past have gotten in without turning in those extra things. Don’t get too discouraged, if you put a time and effort into your application, it will show. Now time to play the waiting game!</p>

Don’t get so discouraged. When they say they don’t require those extra stuffs, it means that they highly value the essay. ( which was a lot shorter than i thought it would be)</p>

thanks dude, i don’t wanna be negative but i just don’t want my hopes up and have it crushed… 
well the “essay” is consist of like 300 characters each, incredibly short lol, all i did with those was to express my interest in research and tried to be as enthusiastic as possible (which isn’t hard since research is like, all the dream i have) so… eh… i guess i did well on these, how about you guys ? what did y’all put?</p>
<p>Uhhh I assumed since the essay responses were so limited in space that I wasn’t allowed to send in a cover letter. Maybe should have asked someone about that…</p>

<p>Ugh I’m so impatient!! I’ve only heard back from 2 of the 8 programs I applied to.</p>

<p>Well City of Hope, SSP (alternate), Baylor HSSSRP (rejected), HSHSP, ION @ Yerkes, PAN @ NSCL, UTMB SRP, and UTD Nanoexplorers. And I still have to apply to Muhlenberg Brain Camp and a local hospital internship.</p>
<p>haven’t heard of much about most of them except the SSP, Baylor, HSHSP and COH, but good luck nonetheless! lol i probably should’ve applied to more than 3 oh well xD rejected from jackson lab lol</p>
<p>I sure hope City of Hope results come out soon… Does anyone know exactly when we will be hearing from the program/professors?</p>

<p>I emailed the program, they told me that the results are being released tomorrow.
Not very hopeful about my chances, but if it happens ill be going insane =)</p>
