hey, i have some questions about macaulay and city college. I'm really concerned i've seen some horrible reviews about city. The complaints about the professors don't bother me so much because I know that's a matter of choosing the right ones and using ratemyproffessor etc. etc. However i'm worried that even through macaulay i won't be getting the level of education i can be getting. I hope to major in biomedical engineering while on the premed track. any advice or opinions on city?

also..
is housing guaranteed for all four years. I have certain family issues and i will be able to pull up housing costs for the first year but i hope to become an RA for the other three. Is this at all a possibility?

oh and my other options are Hofstra, Iona, and Fordham (got accepted to these)

i applied to RPI, Stony Brook, NYU, Columbia, and UNC Chapel Hill

money not being an option i would probably choose NYU or macaulay since columbia would be too much of a jump from my high school's level. What worries me most about the CUNY's is the lack of campus life due to most everybody commuting. i know stony brook doesn't have much of a campus life either and RPI is in the middle of nowhere. But let's say money wasn't a factor since i don't know how much aid I would be getting yet. Is city really as bad as people say it is?
