I know the two majors are associated with one another. People keep telling me that civil is all about buildings, concrete, etc, but I really want to do things more geared towards environmental projects. I had a teacher tell me that civil engineers can also take enviro engineering jobs, but enviro can’t go into civil jobs… I’m not sure about the validity of that statement.

Anyway, would it be worth switching majors? If I do stay in civil, would I still be able to take classes with environmental aspects to them and get that kind of experience? And since they’re both engineering, would it be too difficult to switch? I know that you need to wait until the fall quarter has passed in order to do so.

Thank you in advance!!
