I'm currently a sophomore in college studying engineering. I need to decide by next semester what type of engineering I would like to major in. Right now I'm taking engineering mechanics: statics and dynamics, differential equations, bio, and engineering management. I like all my classes and am doing well in them. The only thing is I'm not sure which engineering discipline would be better for me. I thought I was interested in construction management, but I just read a Wall Street Journal article last week in which they equated the number of civil engineering jobs to the number of librarian jobs, meaning that civil engineers are not doing well in this economy. If I was a mechanical engineer, I would like to do something relating to biomechanics. Therefore, which engineering major should I shoot for? THanks
