Hey, everyone. I just wanted to gauge my chances of getting into CLA. My UW Gpa is 3.69. My ACT is 30. I have taken lots of AP and Honors Classes. I am in PSEO. I volunteer a lot, and I am very politically active. I am a member of my Speech team, and many other activities. For those applying to CLA please post the following. Post your admissions decisions here:

Other relevant info: Still waiting on UMN Honors! Anyone else in the same boat?
I think your chances of getting into CLA are excellent! And @JBStillFlying I can’t believe you’re still waiting on honors. That is a no brainer. I wonder if the gears got slowed down again after November 1 and the rush of applicants?
Accepted or Denied: S19 accepted CLA
In State/Out of State: In State
GPA: 4.0 uw
ACT/SAT: ACT 34 C (36E)
Date of apply: common app submitted 9-25
Date of decision: 10-20 (after several technical glitches - 1 week after application shown as complete)
Other Relevant Information: Admitted to honors 10-26 (first via tracker, seen in comm center 5 days later, then received letter). PSEO student (not at the U) - will likely graduate with 32 credits that look like they would transfer. Only 2 APs - AP Comp Sci and AP Calc AB. Applying to school of music and waiting for audition info (prescreen required). 1 of 11 schools DS is applying to but it’s affordable for us and both parents are alum so it’s a favorite. Not to mention, I really wasn’t aware they might offer merit money to sweeten the deal (no word on that - and maybe we’ll need to wait since music auditions are in the mix and those aren’t until jan/feb time frame if he gets through prescreen).
@Youngstudent18 it seems to be common usage on this board for S19 to mean son graduating (or graduated) in 2019. D16 would be a daughter who graduated in 2016. I’ve only seen that usage on CC.
Yes - son will graduate in spring of 2019. Not sure what his CC nickname will be after that.
@MuzakParent - Not sure what’s going on this year either. My daughter was invited in October when she applied a couple years ago but she was also NMSF so that might have had something to do with it. your son’s application to school of music might have accelerated his accolades from UMN, perhaps? Hopefully he’ll get money. That PSEO history is impressive!

I was accepted into umn cla and honors program today, before I had even recieved a verification of application. I recieved an email about a scholarship survey that contained my student ID.
My son received the e-mail about those additional scholarships today as well. He had already completed the application in October when he was notified the first time; this follow-up today was a “reminder” so they apprarantly didn’t get his information the first time. Go figure how that happened. Anyway, he completed it again so hopefully they have what they need.
