When I found out I couldn't transfer my English Lit AP score to UT Austin, I was a bit disappointed. However, I got word that if I send my scores to a community college (which I have been taking dual-enrollment with, therefore I do have enough hours to do so) that would accept a lower score, they would accept that credit by exam and put it on their (the CC's) transcript. Then that transcript is forwarded to UT Austin and ultimately, I can get credit for an exam I initially would not have gotten.

Is there a caveat to this? Or is this as straightforward as it seems? I plan to rid of as much credits as I can this way.

Also, I plan to take several CLEPS at my community college as well. The passing grade for UT is generally a 60, however to claim credit at the community college you only need a 50. Assuming I pass but do not exceed 60, can I apply the same concept said above and try to claim more credits?

Also, this may sound dumb, but is there a limit to how many hours that are transferrable to UT by exams?

I'm sorry, I'm getting quite anxious because classes are filling up and I want to know whether to sign up for classes that I could potentially be exempt from.
