I would SO appreciate hearing from even ONE person who was recruited to play at Claremont -- that is, someone who was brought in via a coach for a team. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

i met this guy who, along with his twin, were recruited for tennis. they were california doubles champions

laxmom,

My son was 'recruited' this last year but I use the term loosely. He contacted the golf coach last summer, met him at CMC in September and from that time he received frequent emails and calls from the coach. We think that the coach may have aided our son's acceptance because his test scores and ECs, though good, weren't exceptional. However, there really is no way to know. To put it in perspective, his applications at Williams and Haverford were rejected but he was accepted at Colgate, Bucknell, Washington & Lee, CMC and a couple of safeties. I'm pleased to say he will be attending CMC this year and playing golf for the Stags. Any specific things you wanted to ask?

One of my bio profs was recruited by McKenna for Track and Field. He was, apparently, "The fastest white guy they had ever seen."

Thanks so much for responding! For some reason I didn't get an email so I didn't know anyone had written!

Optiman, that's EXACTLY what I was looking to hear. I'll PM you.

Thanks again!
