Maybe someone has already done this, or maybe this just isn't a thing anymore, but i'm going to put this up here anyway:

I guess I’ll start us off here:

[ size=+2][ color=orange][ b]Decision: Waitlisted[ /b][ /color][ /size]

SAT: 2270 (800 CR, 800 Writing, 670 Math)
ACT: 35 (Math 35 Reading 36 Writing/Essay 32 Science 34 English 35)
SAT II: Math I - 750. English Lit - 780, World History - 800
GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 4.61 weighted
Rank: 1 out of 126

AP: Comparative Govt. (5)
Biology (5)
European History (5)
English Language (5)
US Govt. (5)
World History (5)
US History (5)
Psychology (5)

Senior Course Load: AP Calculus BC, AP English Lit, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Statistics, Religion (I go to Catholic school, it’s required), Physics Honors

Major Awards: I don’t know if these qualify, but I’m a national AP scholar and a national merit finalist

Extracurriculars: National Honor Society (Treasurer), National Spanish Honor Society (Vice President), Teens Against Political Sloth (a group I founded to increase political participation, President), Lasallian Youth (Catholic service group), Varsity Swim

Work Experience: I worked for a few weeks as a student election worker in 2012. Probably doesn’t count for much

Volunteer: As I said above, Lasallian youth. Also, I co host a radio show to try to encourage political activism and involvement.

Summer Activities: i don’t do any of those seminars or what have you

Essays: Probably not the best, but i thought they were pretty good.

Teacher recommendations: Pretty Amazing. I’ve known both of those teachers for a long time, did reallyw ell in their classes, know for a fact that they like me, and seeing as how they’re AP English and History teachers, I figure they probably wrote pretty well.

Counselor Recs: Should have been very good
Interview: Did not interview.
Did not apply for financial aid
Intended Major: Economics
State: New Mexico
School Type: College Prep
Ethnicity:Caucasian
Gender: Male
Income bracket: 200000+

Strengths: Probably my numbers, they seem to be pretty good compared to other applicants. Also, I though maybe the club and the radio show that I started would show passion for political involvement and leadership abilities, idk. Also, I’m from New Mexico and not many of us leave the state.

Weaknesses: Maybe my essays, probably my lack of a bunch more extracurriculars and my lack of an interview.

Why I think I was waitlisted: Obviously, it was because of an interdepartmental federal government takedown. But seriously, I’m thinking that it had to do with my weaknesses, above, my gender and ethnicity (i think they have more men than women there) and the fact that nearly half of their class was accepted ED. <a href=“Early Admissions Statistics 2013 - Interactive Feature - NYTimes.com”>Early Admissions Statistics 2013 - Interactive Feature - NYTimes.com;

[ size=+2][ color=green][ b]Decision: Accepted[ /b][ /color][ /size] Applied ED1!

I thought I would post some general stats for any others looking to apply to CMC.
I think I got in because I passionately conveyed my love for CMC in my application… Definitely the best school I looked at (and I’m from the east coast).
