Claremont Mckenna vs UCLA vd UCB

Hey i wanted to know which one of these would be the best for getting a job in the finance industry. Preferably ibanking. I will be majoring in Econ or IR and/or Math.

I know the most prestigious of the 3 will probably be UCB but i'm leaning towards the other 2.

Also is CMC as prestigious or more in the eyes if employers as the UCs ?

Thanks.

If you get to into Haas > Cal > UCLA > CMC, in my opinion.

I know there will be some kids who will says CMC is just as prestigious as UCLA or maybe even Cal, but from my own experiences/what I’ve seen, I can’t support that statement (not to say they aren’t right, just saying I haven’t seen it).

For a job in finance, the most important thing you need to know is the strength of the school’s career office. Do banks come to recruit? Which ones? The easiest path to a bank job right out of college is through campus recruiting. If the banks go to CMC to recruit (and I think they do), then CMC is prestigious enough.

Haas > Cal >> UCLA > CMC, in my opinion.

In my opinion,

CMC>Haas>Cal>UCLA

Point is, we all have our opinions about which is best. You will be fine at whichever you choose. Go for the best fit and the one you like best.

CMC is not in the radar of many top banks. CMC does not send grads to companies like Goldman, Silver Lake, McKinsey and the like.

I’d like to correct you by saying that CMC has placements at Goldman, both full time and internships this year. Okay, McKinsey isn’t that big on campus. But BCG and Bain are. In fact, the Claremont Consulting Network will be taking a group of 20 students to Bain’s LA office this Friday.

Haas is the business school inside Cal…i wasnt sure if you guys were differentiating between the Haas business school at cal and Cal or just didnt realize Haas was a part of Cal.

@CR_freak is this for undergrad or grad?
