Hey guys. I just have a little question about the different Calculus courses at UT.
Since I am not an engineering major, I'm just looking for the relatively easier calculus course to take. I have the M 408C credit from the AP Calc AB exam, and was wondering if it'd be easier to take M 408L or M 408D?

Thanks guys.

take, 408L. it’s multiple choice and is designed for nonengineering students. if you’re looking to take calculus with the mere intention of graduating, then don’t mess with 408D

My son is trying to decide which calculus class to take also. He has community college credit for M408K, (they don’t offer the 2 semester calculus sequence). He got a solid “A” in the class. The tests were not multiple choice, and I know he got partial credit on some of the tests. He is going to be majoring in computer science.
His choices are 1) to take M408C at UT, or 2)take M408L at UT, or 3) wait and take 408L and 408M at the CC next summer.
I’m thinking that since he’s going into CS, did well in 408K, and does tend to make use of partial credit on math tests, that he should take M408C at UT next semester. I am hoping that the CC 408K prepared him well for M408C.
Is this a bad idea?

Thanks for your advice! Appreciate it.
