i'm awfully confused. can someone clarify once and for all. is cornell cas rolling? and is any other part of cornell rolling, and other ivies at that. because on a rolling admissions list on the collegeboard, cornell isn't listed. thanks

cornell cas is not rolling.. cals, ilr, and hotel school (not sure about this one) are rolling, i believe. most people consider a school's "main school" as their colleges of arts and science. it probably wasn't put down as rolling because cas isn't, though they do send out likely letters apparently.

fjchowdhury has it right.

...lets now wait for the "so wait, if CALS is rolling and i havn't heard yet, should i be concerned?" and the "I didn't receive a likely letter, is this bad news" questions to follow.

Guys help!!! I haven't gotten a likely yetter yet!!11one Does that mean I got rejected? :(

no way; likely letters are only sent to the top acceptees as a way of trying to hook them so they dont pick a HYSP type school

gunshot

:p

thanks everyone. so to triple check: cals is rolling. cas is not.

Correct (+characters)

I too haven't gotten a likely letter, but I'm listed in the Cornell directory and my interviewer's last name was the same as mine!!!

Is this a good sign or a bad sign????????11111111

No sign; I'm listed in the Cornell Directory too as I went there over teh summer. I tried to enter in some people who got in ED from my school and came up with no results.. it was probably your interviewer, haha

When you get to college take sarcasm. <g></g>

A friend of mine used to work in admissions, and if you haven't gotten a likely letter it definately means

means!!! MEANS!?!?!??!

ahhhhh acornella, you are killing us

It doesn't mean anything. I got into CAS and I never received a likely letter or even an interview.

I bet you're the only one ever

you guys are *******s (said using an Eric Cartman style voice)

Cornell CAS IS rolling for transfer applicants. I called admissions on two seperate occasions to confirm.

When is the application time range for CALS rolling? is it like fall-winterish or winter-springish?

Does CAS ever send out likey letters and then not accept those students? I got one, but I don't know whether I should take that as a "yes" or a "maybe." To be completely honest, I was shocked. Not that I'm unintelligent, but I didn't think my credentials were ridiculously high compared to the rest of the applicant pool. Any idea how many of the likely letters get sent out?
