Clarification

For colleges the main things we have to submit are:
-The FAFSA
-CSS Profile (some schools)
-IDOC in Feb. (some schools) ????

But I'm wondering how we'll know what else to send to colleges. For example, I luckily noticed that Columbia requires a student tax return or non-filing statement. But for other schools, are we just supposed to dig through their websites to look for information?

Thank you.

Yes, did through the websites. It’s not really hard and when in doubt, call or email. The fin aid offices, from my experience, are very good about answering questions.

I spent an hour or so at the beginning of January looking at (and writing down!) the FA requirements for all the colleges my daughter applied to. There are many combinations of requirements, including two schools that require, in addition to the CSS profile and FAFSA, copies of 2009 tax returns and W-2 forms.
