When a college tells your admission is conditional on your completion of your senior year classes with a "C" or better, AND maintaining your reported overall gpa, does this mean your gpa is not even allowed to drop from lets say 3.9 to 3.7 senior year, or do they just mean they will check to confirm if the gpa you inputted was correct from 9-11th grade.

a university is saying your gpa can’t drop from a 3.9 (uw?)?

where did you get accepted lol?

No, I just made up 3.9.

The university, SDSU, simply said you must “maintain your overall reported GPA.”

I’ve seen this at other schools as well. I was just wondering if this means maintain as in keep at or above what you reported on the app for grades 9-11, maintain above a certain level (for ex 3.0), or simply maintain as in verify what you put in the app was correct for grades 9-11.

The first of which seems rather harsh and would put a lot of admission is jeopardy.
