Ok, so I am applying to Yale, Dartmouth, Stanford and UChicago through QB. Other people applying to those places, let me know if this is how you guys understand things. Stanford and UChicago use the Common App in addition to the QB application, but Yale and Dartmouth only want to have a copy of your official transcript, and do not want QB finalists to fill out the Common App.

In addition, all but Dartmouth want you to send/fax copies of financial documents in addition to the CSProfile, but Dartmouth only wants you to send/fax a copy if the Financial Aid office contacts you directly?

And one last thing, anyone else applying to Yale, have you gotten your Yale ID yet? I have the initial email about being a QB finalist from them, congratulating me, saying that I will get the ID in an email in the next few days, but I never actually got an email containing an ID.

As always, thank you guys in advance and good luck to all of you.

I’m applying to Yale, Stanford, and UChicago so I will try to help you out (except Dartmouth). From what I read about the 3 schools everything you said sounds right. For Stanford and UChicago you have to complete the Common Application and its school’s supplements. For Yale you only have to worry about sending in the transcript, no Common App stuff.

I have not received my Yale ID yet. Do you know about the UChicago Financial Aid Application thing? On the QB requirement’s page it said we should get something through email about it. (Nothing from them either)

Yeah, I haven’t received the UChicago Financial Aid info either, but like Yale, they have sent me email, so I am on their mailing list.

Also, for UChicago, I’m a little confused because of item 3 on their requirements page. Is there a special section where my counselor/teachers have to submit something on the Common App to UChicago outside of the general Common App things they have to submit?

[College Match Program: Chicago Requirements](QuestBridge)

I’m assuming they don’t, but again, just want to make sure, because item 3 seems awfully redundant.

Item 3 is essentially just doing the Common App portion for counselors/teachers.

Also, once you submit the Common App to UChicago, you will be able to sign in to your personal account" and complete the form in #6.

Ok, thanks leslunettes. Does that mean that the #6 form has to be finished on/by November 1st as well?

I would think so. These financial aid forms are sucking my soul :x Has anyone found a good thread for the CSS profile? I’m doing it myself and want to make sure s’all bueno.
