clarifying test reporting policy

Hi everybody,
I'm probably going to apply ED to Columbia this fall and I'm looking for some clarification on Columbia's test reporting policy. Basically, I took the ACT 3 times with the following scores:

February 2012: 34 C (34 E, 32 M, 34 S, 36 R, 9 W)
April 2012: 33 C (36 E, 31 M, 32 S, 33 R, 11 W)
June 2012 (no writing): 35 C (36 E, 34 M, 32 S, 36 R)

Because it costs money to send each individual ACT score, Columbia (according to last year's application instructions) only requires that you send your highest ACT composite score while self-reporting all of the others. That said, I know Columbia requires ACT with writing, so does that mean that I have to send both my highest composite (June) with either my February or April test? If so, would it be better to send the February test with the higher composite along with the June one, given that most schools don't really give much weight to the writing section anyway?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

If you send the 35 they will ignore it because they require the ACT with writing. That said, you should send your highest composite with writing (34).

Oh no! If I sent both, is there even a chance that they’d consider the 35?

Well if you send both, they will obviously see your 35. However, your 34 is amazing as it is.

thanks guys. just one more question. when self reporting on the common app, should i report my highest composite as a 34 or 35?

I’d say 34. Columbia requires you take the ACT with writing, so a composite score should include writing.
